HOW DOES THIS WORK?
We operate very similarly to other cinemas. You buy a ticket and order your food from the concession. Once you order hot food, you will receive a numbered pager; when your food is ready your pager will flash rapidly and vibrate and you can sneak back and pick it up.
DO WE HAVE TO ORDER FOOD TO SEE THE MOVIE?
You don't have to eat our delicious food in order to watch the film, but we do strongly encourage it!
CAN WE EAT OUR FOOD IN THE THEATER?
Yes, that is the whole idea of our business. And we will clean up after you. However, we do not allow food from the outside world to be consumed in our theater.
WHEN CAN WE ORDER FOOD?
Anytime you want, even during the show, or after. The concession is always open.
DO YOU SERVE ALCOHOL?
Yes, we serve several brands of beer on tap, including locally made favorites, and a limited selection of wine by the glass. We also have non-alcoholic beer.
WHEN SHOULD WE GET THERE?
We recommend you arrive at least ½ hour before showtime.
CAN I RESERVE SEATS?
No, all seating is on a first come, first serve basis. If your friends are going to be late, you must buy them tickets in order to save them seats.
CAN WE BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE?
Our boxoffice opens at 4:30 pm every afternoon, and tickets for any of that evening's shows can be purchased starting then. If you have a large (camp) group, we request that you contact us in advance to confirm arrangements; you will still need someone at the boxoffice to buy tickets at 4:30.
DO YOU SHOW ADVERTISING BEFORE THE FEATURE?
Before each film we show two or three studio preview trailers of films that are scheduled at Reel Pizza in the next week or so. We do not show any paid advertising.
DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?
We accept MasterCard and VISA for our concessions, but not for tickets. Cash and Local checks with a local phone # are also accepted.
DO YOU HAVE PARKING?
Yes, we have limited parking out front of our building. We are within walking distance of a large town lot. We are directly across from the ISLAND EXPLORER BUS depot which accesses all parts of Mount Desert Island. The bus runs late June through October.
